Help us to reach 2 500 families who have been affected by the floods in the eastern province of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa with emergency packs.
We have already raised funds to assist 250 families — we urgently need your help to assist many more vulnerable people.
More than 400 people have died, homes have been destroyed, roads and bridges have been swept away and over 40 000 have been left without access to shelter, food, water and other humanitarian necessities.
ForAfrika is rapidly responding to assist the people who have been impacted by this natural disaster. Our immediate relief efforts are focusing on:
• The provision of family packs (consisting of food, blankets, water and a tarpaulin)
• Partnering with the Disaster Management Team in order to distribute their family hampers
• Working with our partners to raise funds for further relief efforts
ForAfrika will procure, pack, deliver and distribute the emergency rations which consist of a food hamper, tarpaulin, drinking water, and two blankets at central community points.
R1200 ($80) will provide a pack for a family, but every donation is greatly appreciated and makes a huge difference. Please donate in whichever currency you wish here
